Do we need a Solicitor as well as a Conveyancer?

The short answer is No.

Licensed Conveyancers can do the same job as a Solicitor but with a much more personal and professional service. At MJM Conveyancing we understand that everyone has different needs and we happily work around you without any extra charge. With every transaction you will have your very own Licensed Conveyancer to talk to on mobile, email or text every day of the week. All extra services that we provide to you that you will not get from a Solicitor.

What does settlement mean?

Settlement means this is the exact time that the ownership of the property has been transferred to the purchaser. This also means that this is the time that you will receive the sale funds into your bank account and if you are purchasing this is when you will be able to collect your keys and move into your new home.

Don’t worry, we do the settlement for you on your behalf and we will call you and the agent as soon as its been completed.

What do we do now?

This is a question that we usually hear after an offer has been accepted by the purchaser. We offer free contract review if you wish to secure the property quickly before you pay 0.25% deposit to the agent. This ensures that you are not gazumped by another buyer and provides you with some time to finalise your finance approval and obtain Pre-Purchase pest & building reports. We work closely with local companies and happily arrange these inspections for you.
